Star Wars Assault Team: IG-88 Levels and Promotions

Welcome to Stuff For Guys, where you'll find information about a lot of useless stuff, an occasional useful stuff, but it's all stuff for guys.  Thanks to the "Construct IG-88" Special Mission, a.k.a. "Rescue Mission - IG-88", where you "Promote the IG-88 Chassis and build your own Assassin Droid!", I was able to get IG-88 in the Star Wars Assault Team game.  Now that it's Monday Mech and Terrifying Tuesday (Armor), both of which are IG-88's affinities, the leveling up process is going pretty quickly.  Here are some of the screens of the training process as well as the required credits for each tier.  For a list of the Promotion Items needed, please click on this post.  For an explanation on usage of the straight flush set of Training Items to level up quickly, click on this post.

Additional Notes
IG-88, like R2-D2, is one of those characters that takes longer to level up than the normal character, like AnzatShistavanen, Han Solo, C-3PO or Sakiyan, but not as long as others, like Spider or Terentatek.  In addition, if you use the straight flush method for each training cycle, then you will only need Training Items 5-4-3-2 at Level 34 to max out to Level 35.  Unfortunately, replacing Training Item 4 with Training Item 1 and an additional 2 are not enough (see screenshot below), so you will have to spend the extra 6 Energy to either get Training Item 4 or you will have to do another training cycle and use more credits.  The decision is yours -- use Energy or use Credits, both of which are valuable commodities in this game.

Credit Requirements
This is a list of the total credits required for the entire leveling-up training process within each tier.  The assumption is that you are using the most optimal combination of Training Items.
  • Tier 2: 100 credits
  • Tier 3: 1,325 credits
  • Tier 4: 13,525 credits
  • Tier 5: 58,400 credits

Enjoy the game and thanks for reading!
